Camelia pharmacies to open in the Urban HUB in Vilnius and Kaunas
One of the largest pharmacy chains in Lithuania, Camelia, will open its newest spaces in Urban HUB developed by SBA Urban, the real estate development company of SBA Group. The Camelia team is preparing for the expansion in both Urban HUB projects, in Vilnius and Kaunas.
This summer, Camelia pharmacy in Vilnius will open its doors with 80 sqm. In Kaunas, the pharmacy chain will be located next to the IKI shopping centre in the second phase of the Urban HUB development, with the opening of more than 120 sqm of space planned for the end of 2024.
‘We chose Urban HUB for several reasons. First of all, when opening new pharmacies, we consider the amounts of people passing by, their shopping habits and the businesses that will be located nearby. The Kaunas and Vilnius projects are strategically located: transport links, good visibility and proximity to grocery and convenience stores, making it convenient for customers to buy medicine, supplements, cosmetics and other goods they need in one go. As the space plans met our expectations due to the well-developed infrastructure, modern solutions and multifunctional possibilities – the decision to choose Urban HUB as a partner was quite easy’, – says Remigijus Krunglevičius, Head of Development at Camelia.
‘With the Camelia team, we continue to create a convenient and fast shopping experience for our customers. The businesses located next to the IKI shopping centre will offer everyday essentials and services in one place. Urban HUB is a flexible project, so we can provide opportunities for businesses to expand in Kaunas and Vilnius. Camelia is one of the first companies to choose to expand simultaneously in both our projects and we believe this partnership will become an example’,- says Giedrius Muliuolis, Head of Urban HUB: ‘
Urban HUB in Biruliškės, Kaunas, is being developed in a very convenient location for commuters – between the A1 Vilnius–Kaunas motorway and the A6 road, which is the route Kaunas residents use every day to get to work or home. The Urban HUB team will offer over 70,000 sqm of commercial spaces. The first phase is almost complete, with four buildings providing 22,000 sqm of space. Work on the second phase is about to start, with the first building, with IKI and Camelia, opening at the end of this year and the remaining three by the end of 2025.
Urban HUB in Vilnius, near Ukmergės Street, is scheduled to open this summer. The 22,000 sqm space will accommodate over 30 businesses. On the more visible side, in Ukmergės Street, a block of companies offering everyday shopping and services is taking shape. Here, residents can shop for food, home and garden, household and pet goods, and there will be children’s shops and a playroom, and beauty salons. On the other side of the building will accomodate business services and specialised goods businesses, for which a stock-office solution combining office, warehouse and retail space is the most suitable. Finally, the third area is for sports and wellness – tennis courts, a sports club and other facilities are planned.
